If you noticed my absence last week, I apologize! I was in pain from an infected tooth and had a holiday open house to prep for. I had to Goggins last week, that's for sure. (If you don't that reference- Google David Goggins. You're welcome)
I come to you now from a less busy work with one less tooth.
Yesterday I had a tooth pulled and now I am acting like a big baby. I, also, can't have solid foods for a few days and can't workout unitl tomorrow. I am not happy but we shall prevail.
Anyways, today's subject will be how this is the easiest time of the year to stop taking care of yourself.
It would be so easy to push off working out until next week, eat ice cream for every meal, and then push off working out a little longer.
Too busy, too cold, too tired.
I'm not going to do that though and neither are you.
When something unexpected happens it's so easy to get out of routine and then continue staying off.
I would end up 20 lbs heavier and deeply unhappy and the only thing that would have brought me to that point is excuses.
I do not want that and I know you don't want that either.
It is SO easy to do though especially during the holiday season!!
Darker earlier, parties, family dinners, kids' musicals, snow, cold weather, sickness, family coming into town, etc.
Cold weather doesn't mean you can't leave your house, movement can be scheduled around activities (we offer SO many classes weekly), and protein and veggies can be consumed during those cookie baking days too.
I`m promising you and myself that even during the stess of the season- I am going to push through the excuses and keep going. I am going to keep showing up for my physical and mental health.
Do you make the same promise?
Honestly, this is, also, a great time to start!! Not just continue. Working out and being in a community like Sweat Shop can increase your overall joy, help fight negative emotions, and losing weight is a bonus😉
Make this holiday season more fun and be happier!!
I`ll be there for Zumba on Wednesday at 6PM and I hope to see you there XX
