Why Group Fitness Finally Made Me Consistent and 5 Reasons It Will Help You Too
Here’s something you might not know about me: I was never consistent with working out until I started Sweat Shop seven years ago.
I knew exercise was good for me. I wanted to work out. But doing it on my own? I could always find a reason to skip it.
Group fitness changed that.
There’s something about walking into a room full of women, turning the music up, and doing it together that makes you show up—and work harder once you’re there.
Here are 5 reasons I believe group fitness works:
1. Accountability.People notice when you’re there, and they notice when you’re not.
2. You work harder. When the woman beside you keeps going, somehow you find a little more in you too.
4. It makes exercise FUN.Music, laughing, sweating, struggling together—it doesn’t feel like another chore.
5. Consistency becomes easier.Eventually, you stop deciding if you’re going to work out. It becomes part of your life.
And Sweat Shop has something else that makes it special: it’s all women. Different ages, sizes, fitness levels and abilities—all in the same room. No intimidation. No trying to impress anyone. Just women getting stronger together.
I also understand how HARD that first class can be. And if you’ve been away awhile, coming back can feel just as hard.
Come anyway.
You don’t have to be in shape before you start. You don’t have to keep up. You just have to walk through the door.
Sign up for a class at Sweat Shop. We’ll take it from there. 💗 Amy
